York Blind and Partially Sighted Society is a local charity providing information, practical help and support for visually impaired people and their carers. Click on the menu on the left for more information.
We provide the following services:
An Equipment and Information Centre where you can try out and purchase over 200 pieces of equipment
An Eye Clinic Service providing information and support at York Hospital Eye Clinic Outpatients Department
A Volunteer Visiting Service giving support to people in their own homes

A Newsletter available in large print, tape, CD, Braille and e-mail
An Information Pack with details of local and national services, benefits information and practical advice
A support Group for people with Macular Degeneration
Activities - these vary but include a Book Group, Knitting Group and Exercise Class

Eccentric Vision Training
